Duties
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development and learning
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with Site Leaders and Youth Development Leaders to manage behavior and foster positive social interactions among children
- Participate in planning and organizing educational activities, play sessions, and developmental assessments
- Support classroom management by guiding children through routines such as meal times, and transitions
- Assist with documentation of children's progress, incident reports, and communication with parents or guardians
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to provide first aid and respond effectively to emergencies involving young children
- Strong understanding of working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in an educational setting
- Experience with infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families
