Job Summary
The Resident Life Associate plays a vital role in providing compassionate support and care to residents in a personal care home or memory care facility. This position involves assisting residents with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and the ability to foster meaningful relationships with residents, enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Document care provided and report any concerns regarding resident health or behavior to appropriate staff members.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of dementia care.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, personal care homes, or group homes is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care practices and dementia support is a plus.
- Experience in caregiving or social work is beneficial for understanding resident needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors through attentive care.
