Duties
- Perform thorough examinations and diagnose medical conditions using veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
- Administer treatments, vaccinations, and medications while ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed for infection control.
- Handle animals with care and confidence, including dog handling, animal restraint, and animal husbandry practices to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assist with complex procedures such as animal catheterization, pet grooming, and laboratory sample collection.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, pet grooming, nutrition, and health maintenance to promote responsible pet ownership.
- Maintain detailed medical records, document procedures accurately, and communicate effectively with clients about treatment plans.
- Support emergency critical care situations by applying veterinary critical care experience in fast-paced environments.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the clinic while adhering to strict aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Collaborate with team members on case management involving both small animals and equine patients when applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal handling, anatomy knowledge, and veterinary terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to perform animal restraint safely across various species including dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques.
- Strong communication skills for educating clients about pet care and treatment options.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
