Internship Overview
MichianaFootball is seeking a creative and dependable Graphic Design Intern to help produce engaging digital content during the high school football season. This internship is ideal for students or aspiring designers looking to build a sports media portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
The Graphic Design Intern will work closely with our media team to create eye-catching graphics for social media, including final scores, breaking news, game-day updates, player spotlights, rankings, and promotional content.
Responsibilities
- Design final score graphics for Friday night football games.
- Create breaking news graphics for coaching changes, player commitments, injuries, and major announcements.
- Design weekly rankings, schedules, previews, and recap graphics.
- Produce player spotlight and feature graphics.
- Maintain consistent MichianaFootball branding across all graphics.
- Collaborate with writers and social media staff to deliver timely content.
- Meet deadlines during live game coverage.
- Assist with additional digital graphics throughout the football season.
Qualifications
- Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of typography, color, and layout design.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Passion for sports, especially high school football, is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Reliable internet access and a personal computer.
Availability
Applicants must be available on Friday nights during the high school football season, as this is our busiest production time. Additional flexible hours may be available throughout the week for feature graphics and promotional content.
