Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank is seeking applicants for a full-time Agency Engagement Specialist. This position is responsible for improving the experience for neighbors who access Helping Harvest’s services throughout Berks and Schuylkill County. Helping Harvest is looking for an individual that has a strong desire to be involved in and provide assistance to neighbors in their community. This individual should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. In 2025, Helping Harvest provided more than 11 million pounds of food to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Agency Engagement Specialist
Duties:
- Design and run reports to assess neighbor data.
- Manage a Helping Harvest Food Pantry distribution in the Oakbrook neighborhood twice per month.
- Start and lead the Neighbor Advisory Council to collect feedback and create positive change for the neighbor experience.
- Conduct neighbor surveys at agency partner and mobile market distribution locations.
- Host trainings for agency partners and volunteers on improving the neighbor experience.
- Support food bank and agency partner capacity to implement neighbor-informed solutions.
- Create Mobile Market orders to provide a well-rounded offering for neighbors at distributions.
- Attend Mobile Market distributions to provide staff support to volunteers and neighbors.
- Respond to neighbor requests for referral information or emergency food.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred.
- Organizational and attention to detail.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively as an individual and as a member of a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
