Night Care Attendant – Full Time
Canterbury Inn is looking for a reliable, caring individual to work 6pm to 6am in our 42-bed residential, senior care home. Our facility is licensed as a Level III Residential Care Home with primarily independent residents. This role would require an individual to assist residents with evening medications, light assistance with bedtime routines and minimal support through the nighttime hours.
Medication administration, vital signs, general assessments and a caring, supportive attitude toward our residents would be required. Other duties through the night hours would be some light housekeeping after residents have gone to bed, laundry setup and dining room setup for the next day.
This position would require rotating weekend coverage. Certifications are not required for this position; we are happy to train the right individual. Efficiency and the ability to multi-task are important aspects of this role to keep abreast of the resident and facility needs. The night shift is fast paced for the first half of the night while getting residents through their nightly routines. As residents go to sleep, the night becomes less busy.
Applicants should be able to reliably report for their shifts and will need to pass a background check. Night positions have a $2.00 differential from 10:00pm to 6:00am. Pay varies based on experience and benefits are aligned with the number of hours worked.
