Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. You will assist customers with their purchases, answer inquiries, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will be essential in maintaining our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and offering recommendations.
- Perform cashiering duties, including cash handling and ensuring the accuracy of cash drawers.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products on shelves and ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory to ensure products are readily available for customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone or other communication channels.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills is essential for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
