Looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to lead a fun and dedicated back office team. Our growing small group of practices is expanding and seeks an Orthodontic DA who can provide leadership, training and consistency.

Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance management
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and orthodontic appliances ensuring sterilization and infection prevention protocols are followed
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain patient records by accurate charting and completing treatment documentation timely.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic treatments and provide post-treatment instructions for optimal results
- Maintain dental equipment, including sterilization procedures for instruments, chairside assisting tools, and dental imaging devices
- Support the practice and patients by being a team player and driving results through high standards and integrity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on orthodontics or general dentistry
- Proficiency in orthodontic records and documentation
- Extensive knowledge and experience in orthodontic treatment and procedures
- Understanding of healthcare infection prevention practices including aseptic technique and infection control policies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatment plans and oral health maintenance
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with orthodontic techniques in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards
- Understanding and compliance with OSHA, HiPAA and Infection control
