Service Leader for Construction Equipment

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Leader to oversee the shop and coordinate field service operations for construction equipment. This role is both leadership-driven and hands-on, requiring a strong technical background combined with the ability to manage technicians, customer relationships, scheduling, billing, and parts procurement.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of shop or field technician experience and has advanced into a leadership role, bringing deep expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing construction equipment and related systems. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while ensuring field technicians are deployed efficiently and jobs are completed accurately and profitably.

Key Expectations
- Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple field operations at once
- Strong communication skills with both customers and internal team members
- Ability to balance administrative responsibilities (scheduling, billing, parts) with technical field support
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when representing the company on customer job sites
- Willingness to travel locally to job sites as needed
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a field or shop technician, diagnosing and repairing construction or vocational equipment
- Proven ability to diagnose complex electrical and hydraulic systems with or without schematics
- Minimum of 5 years' experience using engine diagnostic software (Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptops, or equivalent platforms)
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technicians in a field service or construction environment preferred
