American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and a MO or compact RN license.
-
Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
Cares for adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, infection, cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, pneumonia, stroke, TIA, seizures, and UTI
-
Provides post-procedure care for pacemaker and cardiac catheterization patients
-
Manages chest tubes, thoracentesis, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and peritoneal dialysis
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Every other weekend required
-
Epic EMR experience preferred
-
Active RN license (MO or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg Tele experience required
-
Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line management
-
Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration) and heparin protocols
-
Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team activation
-
Experience with wound care and isolation precautions/PPE

Two professional references required for consideration

Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population

Respond to cardiac monitoring alerts and participate in rapid response and code team activations
-
Collaborate with unit staff to manage complex post-procedure and chronic disease care
