Job Description:
- This position consists of approximately 25% “hands-on” mechanic work and 75% scheduling, inspections, ordering parts, job tracking, completing paperwork, directing employees, etc.
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate shop technicians
- Assign jobs and monitor progress to meet deadlines
- Work with all divisions to ensure vehicles and equipment are available as needed
- Assist with hiring, training, and evaluations
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment
- Inspect completed work
- Manage inventory and ordering of parts and supplies
- Maintain accurate job records, timecards, and repair documentation
- Preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
- CDL is preferred
Required: 5 plus years of supervisory or related experience (required).
