Job Summary: Inpatient LVN Nurse - Substance Abuse Treatment Facility
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our inpatient substance abuse treatment team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a supportive and structured environment. The ideal candidate will work 4-5 shifts per week, including weekends, to ensure the well-being of clients undergoing detoxification and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Intake Nursing Assessments: Perform thorough initial assessments of incoming patients, documenting medical histories, current health conditions, and substance abuse background.
- Monitor and Record Vital Signs: Regularly check and document patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate) and report any abnormalities to the medical team.
- Nursing Notes: Maintain detailed, accurate, and up-to-date nursing notes regarding patient progress, treatments, and any medical concerns. Ensure notes comply with facility policies and legal requirements.
- Patient Care and Monitoring: Assess clients at the beginning of each shift to monitor their physical and emotional state, identifying any immediate medical needs or concerns.
- Collaboration with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care and contribute to individualized treatment plans.
- Compliance with Treatment Protocols: Ensure all clinical procedures are in line with facility guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.
