Cotton St. Thread & Print is actively seeking an experienced Screen Print Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in producing high-quality printed materials while collaborating with various departments to ensure that design specifications are met. This position requires a strong understanding of digital design and print production processes, along with proficiency in industry-standard software.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain screen printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Collaborate with designers and art directors to ensure accurate reproduction of designs.
- Review print orders for accuracy, ensuring all specifications are met before production.
- Manage color calibration and adjustments to maintain consistency across print runs.
- Troubleshoot any printing issues that arise during production, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Prepare files for print, including layout design and file formatting.
- Stay updated on the latest printing technologies and techniques to enhance production quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual design principles.
- Experience in digital design, graphic design, and print advertising.
- Familiarity with web design (HTML/CSS) and motion graphics is a plus.
- Knowledge of 3D animation software such as Maya and CAD for production design is beneficial.
- Ability to create digital art and illustrations for various projects.
- Experience with screen printing and layout design techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
