Central NJ based contractor looking for motivated help in warehouse to maintain trucks and construction equipment, manage tools, deliveries, stock, etc and keep shop/yard clean and organized. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and takes pride in keeping equipment in top condition. This is not just a warehouse position. Approximately half of the job involves preventive maintenance on our fleet, including greasing trucks equipment, changing fluids and filters, inspections, minor repairs, and generally keeping trucks, equipment and tools lean, organized, and tools ready for work.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience required.
- Experience servicing diesel trucks and misc. construction equipment preferred.
- Comfortable performing preventive maintenance, including greasing, changing fluids and filters, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to identify tasks that need to be done without constant supervision.
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shop.
- Keeps tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in their proper place.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Position may sometimes involve driving a pickup or van to make deliveries of materials or tools to jobsites around NJ
Starting rate of pay will be based on experience and can offer full benefits, PTO, etc... to qualified applicants. Company in business since 1988 with many employees here 20+ years. Limitless room for advancement.
