Duties

- Manage medical documentation accurately, including charting patient encounters, ICD coding, and maintaining detailed medical records
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all supplies are stocked for daily clinical activities
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers by answering questions and coordinating appointments or follow-ups
- Maintain compliance with health regulations by adhering to protocols related to patient privacy, infection control, and EMR/EHR management
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in medical office management and administrative support
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical assisting techniques
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) management
- Strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient procedures across various specialties including emergency medicine and trauma centers
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and compassionately
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospital environments requiring urgent care expertise
- Physiology knowledge combined with hospital experience enhances your ability to support complex clinical workflows
