Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our team. Our practice specializes in working with military personnel, trauma survivors, first responders, individuals, couples, and families. The ideal candidate will provide therapy services tailored to the unique challenges faced by these populations. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the AMFT will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving mental and emotional well-being. This is a remote position but requires an active board certified Associate Marriage and Family Therapist number appointed by the BBS in the state of California. This is a HYBRID position with the expectation of 10 to 20 hours of work per week. This position is anticipated to become a full time position once a full caseload of clients is developed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, couple, and family therapy.
- Conduct initial assessments, develop treatment plans, and set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family Systems Therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care.
- Participate in regular paid clinical supervision sessions to enhance skills, discuss cases, and meet licensure requirements.
- Stay updated on best practices and developments in trauma-informed care and marriage and family therapy.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines, confidentiality policies, and professional standards set by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- Active Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) registration with the state’s Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Strong understanding of psychological theories, therapeutic techniques, and family dynamics.
- Experience working with military personnel, first responders, and trauma survivors preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working with military personnel, first responders, and trauma survivors is a plus.
- Recent graduates and AMFTs are encouraged to apply.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
