Pay: $75-$95/hr BOE
Job description
Yehowa Medical Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center with six locations in Los Angeles and Orange County. We see patients from zero to a hundred years of age, as we are a Family Practice.
We are currently looking for Nurse Practitioners to work with us. This candidaate must to be able to see to the needs of the community we find ourselves in, as well as be open to visit multiple locations throughout the week. It is very important that candidates applying are willing to service the following locations and are open to traveling to them throughout the week:
Los Angeles County Locations:
Southgate: South Gate, CA 90280
Vermont: Los Angeles, CA 90044
Florence: Los Angeles, CA 90044
Wilmington: Wilmington, CA 90744
Crenshaw: Los Angeles, CA 90043

Education & License Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus
- Active and Unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- DEA License (preferred but not required)
- BLS/ACLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of practice.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Perform minor medical procedures as needed.
- Educate patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness strategies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with clinical policies and guidelines.
- Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
- Participate in community outreach and health education initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Provide services on clinic mobile unit during events and trips
- Ability to commute/relocate within facilities including mobile units.
- Able to see a minimum of 20-22 patients.
- Work Saturdays as needed. (at least once a month)
- Able to use EMR systems. We currently use eClinicalWorks. (open to training)
