Executive Chef – Assisted Living Community
Location: Central Florida
Position: Full-Time
A well-established Assisted Living community is seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations and lead our dining services team. We are looking for an individual who is committed to delivering exceptional meals, creating an outstanding dining experience for our residents, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Certified Culinary Institute (required).
- Previous Executive Chef experience in an Assisted Living, Senior Living, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care community is required.
- Strong knowledge of senior nutrition, therapeutic diets, and dietary regulations.
- Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Proven experience managing kitchen staff, budgets, inventory, and food costs.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all daily kitchen operations.
- Develop and prepare nutritious, high-quality menus that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership and dietary staff to accommodate physician-ordered and therapeutic diets.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment.
