Overnight Watchperson & Island Operations
Full-Time • $25/hr • Overnight Shift (11:30 p.m.–8:00 a.m.)
The Overnight Watchperson & Island Operations is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth overnight operation of the Club and Tinsley Island facilities. This role includes overnight on-site coverage, security monitoring, emergency response, and support for general island operations. Overnight accommodation is provided 5 nights per week based on seasonal needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight security presence; conduct scheduled property rounds.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, building access, cooler/freezer temps and emergency systems and docks.
- Secure buildings, respond to incidents, and complete nightly reports.
- Assist with island operations including boat/equipment upkeep, facility systems, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Support functions: phones, member assistance, reservations, guest logs, and basic administrative tasks.
- Perform some administrative duties, as needed.
- Perform some maintenance and grounds duties, as needed.
- Serve as Island Safety Officer, ensuring compliance and readiness of safety equipment.

Qualifications
- 3–6 months related experience or equivalent education/training.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
- Strong communication, situational awareness, and customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently overnight and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Must have boat-handling and mechanical skills.
- Must obtain a CA Boaters card.
