American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Postpartum/Mother Baby position at a hospital in Washington, DC, requiring verified Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Postpartum/Mother Baby (OB/GYN) unit in a hospital setting

Patient population includes postpartum vaginal delivery, C-section, and GYN surgery patients
-
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Verified Cerner EMR experience required

Active, unrestricted DC RN license required (no pending licenses)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — AHA-issued only

CPI certification required for this position

Postpartum/Mother Baby experience required — this is not an L&D position

Minimum 2 years of US hospital experience in the specialty area preferred

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required

BSN highly desired

US Social Security Number required

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Date of birth required for consideration

Provides safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy

Demonstrates service excellence standards and provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
