Join our dynamic team as a STEM Summer Camp Teacher or STEM Afterschool Teacher, where you will inspire young minds through engaging science, technology, engineering, and math activities. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate STEM activities that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful learning environment
- Supervise children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to maintain safety and engagement
- Implement first aid procedures and respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies following established protocols
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum content aligned with educational standards and camp goals
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate progress or concerns with parents or guardians as needed
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as camps, daycare centers, tutoring, or youth programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols
- Demonstrated ability to work with children with special needs or in inclusive education environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children through creative teaching methods
- Experience in STEM fields, theater arts, sports coaching, or babysitting is advantageous for creating dynamic activities
- Passion for fostering curiosity about science and technology while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
