Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery of food and beverages
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while catering to guest preferences
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are met
- Maintain guest relations by checking on tables regularly, addressing concerns promptly, and providing exceptional customer service
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills and tips
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub backgrounds
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Experience in upselling techniques and sales-driven service approaches
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
