Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education:
- Medical or Osteopathic doctorate degree from an accredited medical school required.
- Completion of residency in Family Medicine at an accredited US residency program required.
- Required to participate in continuing education programs and maintain current BLS certification.
Licensing/Certification
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii required
- Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Family Medicine required
- Current Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current DEA and Hawaii State Narcotics registration required.
- Must be eligible for credentialing with Quest and the majority of other third party payers with whom KPHC participates.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Must be able to work with multi-ethnic and multi-cultural staff and clients.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
- Perform in a tactful and professional manner.
