Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitation of surfaces
- Operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to ensure shiny, well-maintained flooring
- Handle custodial responsibilities for both commercial and residential spaces, including window cleaning and light maintenance tasks
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects as needed to support facility operations
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness
