Job Summary
Great Food Service Job available! Tired of working nights and weekends? Apple Spice is now seeking cheerful, hardworking, individuals for catering staff for our box lunch delivery and catering business, with pay of $14-$17/hr plus gratuity (overall hourly pay averages $25-$30/hr). Typical hours are M-F daytime with nights, weekends and holidays off.
Responsibilities and Duties
General Responsibilities
- Arrive on time to work
- Organize prep tickets for production
- Food preparation/production for hot and cold items
- Deliver and setup caterings
- Good sanitary practices (hand washing, sanitizer buckets)
- Follow all food safety rules when handling production
- Work with speed and a sense of urgency
- Help with all other prep associated with the kitchen as needed
- Show good customer service skills when interacting with guests (Smiling, being courteous, saying please and thank you)
- General cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishes
- Must be able to understand and follow directions from the Manager/Supervisor
- Cross-train as required by your manager
- Work in other areas as needed
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- MUST have food preparation skills
- Minimum 8 years experience in the food service industry in preparation and delivery of catering
- Documentation proving you are legally able to work in the U.S. (Photo I.D. + Social Security Card/Birth Certificate OR Passport)
- Texas Food Handler Certified (will be required before starting job)
- MUST have clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Have a working and clean vehicle with all paperwork in proper order.
- MUST have a hatchback or higher volume interior capacity vehicle suitable for deliveries; no sedans or pickup trucks.
Desired Qualifications:
- Point of Sale (POS) system experience
