Kickin’ Dirt Landscape is a locally owned and operated landscape design and installation company proudly serving the Treasure Valley. We specialize in transforming outdoor spaces through high-quality landscape construction — this is hands-on installation work, not routine lawn mowing or maintenance.
We are currently hiring a Landscape Crew Lead to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in building high-quality landscape projects, and has the ability to lead a crew while working alongside them in the field.
Position Overview:
The Landscape Crew Lead will work directly with their crew to complete residential and commercial landscape installation projects. This role requires someone who can take direction from management and clearly communicate tasks, expectations, and workflow to their crew while helping complete the work efficiently and safely.
Job Responsibilities:
The Crew Lead will help oversee and participate in landscape installation tasks including:
- Sprinkler and irrigation system installation and troubleshooting
- Grading and leveling for proper drainage and site preparation
- Sod installation and ground preparation
- Rock, mulch, and decorative landscape material installation
- Weed barrier installation
- Planting trees, shrubs, and plants according to landscape plans
- Basic landscape design layout and installation
- Drainage system installation
- Paver, pathway, and basic hardscape installation
- Landscape edging and border installation
- Fence and pergola installation
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely
- Communicating daily job tasks and expectations to crew members
- Maintaining job site organization, quality standards, and safety compliance.
Qualifications:
- Previous landscape installation or construction experience required
- Leadership or crew lead experience preferred
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Knowledge of irrigation systems is highly preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Working cell phone for communication
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and perform manual labor throughout the day
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
Pay & Schedule:
- $20–$30 per hour (based on experience and leadership ability)
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Occasional Saturdays during peak season.
