The Director of Finance position is responsible for the financial operations of Laconia Housing Authority along with additional operations management oversight. The Director of Finance shall initiate regular communication with the Executive Director regarding the status of daily operations, progress toward annual individual goals, and progress toward agency wide strategic goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. All job activities and interactions with staff, residents (and their families), clients, government officials, vendors, and community members shall be in accordance with the Laconia Housing values of: Integrity, Compassion, Professionalism, and Respect.
2. Supervise programmatic operations for the Laconia Housing departments, including Finance & Administration. Future oversight of the Property Maintenance, including capital needs, contracting with vendors.
3. Supervise the finance and accounting operations.
4. Responsible for all financial record keeping internal and external with monthly and annual reporting for each funding source regulating LHA.
5. Execute timely audits for multiple entities.
6. Grant knowledge and administration with compliance.
7. Complete all insurance contracts for all entities as required.
8. Work closely with the Executive Director to coordinate the smooth and professional daily operation of the LHA. Also, actively participate in longer term strategic planning efforts for LHA.
9. Develop essential local, state, and national contacts with individuals and organizations involved in funding, regulating, and overseeing LHA.
10. Perform additional duties as requested.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, and either a CPA or MBA preferred and 15 years of personnel and programmatic management experience progressing your career to Director level.
2. Certification in Public Housing a plus and or property management and knowledge of HCV administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Development and administration of an annual budget.
2. Experience in working with a Board or senior level oversight.
3. Strong management/employee relations skills.
4. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite products, email and Internet.
5. Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills.
6. Accuracy, attention to detail and highly organized.
7. Flexibility in approach to a constantly changing work environment.
8. A valid NH Driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
