We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, and wants to make a direct impact on product quality and food safety. What You'll Do
- Perform hourly quality inspections on production lines while standing and walking approximately 70–80% of the shift, and accurately document inspection results.
- Verify finished products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and complete required documentation.
- Follow and support HACCP, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and company quality standards.
- Collect, label, and prepare product samples for laboratory testing.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and accurately document findings.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and accurately.
- Complete quality reports, production records, and required documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Identify quality concerns, investigate issues, and communicate findings to Production and Quality leadership.
- Support environmental monitoring, pest control inspections, sanitation verification, and housekeeping programs.
- Assist with customer sample requests and packaging.
- Participate in HACCP, food safety, and safety meetings.
- Assist with training and onboarding new employees on GMPs and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, CCPs, and food safety regulations.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
- Experience accurately completing quality and production documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to stand and walk approximately 70–80% of the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Comfortable working around herbs, spices, seasonings, food dust, and varying temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an FDA- or USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
