Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) / Vascular Sonographer to join our advanced cardiovascular imaging team. In this vital role, you will utilize your expertise in vascular ultrasound imaging and cardiac diagnostics to perform comprehensive vascular and cardiac assessments. Your work will directly contribute to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning for patients with complex vascular and cardiac conditions. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, abdominal, limb, and venous studies, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Conduct cardiac assessments such as echocardiography, cardiac stress tests, and rhythm analysis to evaluate heart function and detect abnormalities.
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures and cardiac catheterizations by providing real-time imaging support and documentation.
- Monitor vital signs during procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and ensure patient comfort throughout diagnostic evaluations.
- Operate advanced medical equipment including ultrasound machines, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and other cardiovascular technology tools with precision.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings accurately and facilitate timely diagnoses.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, images captured, and patient data in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of vascular ultrasound imaging techniques and interpretation of diagnostic results.
- Proficiency in echocardiography, cardiac stress testing, and cardiac rhythm analysis.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to vascular and cardiac diagnostics.
- Experience with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization within a cath lab setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate complex medical equipment including ultrasound systems, PACS software, and other diagnostic tools efficiently.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols, Level I Trauma Center procedures, and Level II trauma center experience enhances your capability to handle urgent cases confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
