American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Level 1 trauma and open vascular experience for a hospital Operating Room position in Portland, ME.

Hospital Operating Room setting with 26 OR suites and a 1:1 patient ratio
-
Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on 12-hour shifts
-
Weekend requirement of 1 in 4 weekends
-
One overnight trauma call shift required (11:00 PM–7:00 AM); specialty team members (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) follow specialty-specific call schedules

Patient population includes vascular, robotic, and general surgical cases; preferred experience includes GU/GYN, ortho trauma, ortho joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular

Equipment includes Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Surgical robotic systems

Minimum 2 years of OR scrub tech experience

BLS certification required

Teal scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate

Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions

May be required to float between facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
-
Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
