Job Posting 24-004 Suppression System & VESDA Service Technician
BFPE International is seeking a full time Special Hazard Service Technician for Suppression (Clean
Agent) Systems & VESDA Systems to join our BFPE Family. Entry-level positions also exist and
training will be provided.
The role of a Suppression (Clean Agent) System & VESDA Service Technician is to perform test and
inspection of special hazard clean agent fire suppression systems and VESDA early warning
detection systems per NFPA standards, complete accurate inspection reports, take service calls, and
troubleshoot and correct issues that are found while onsite. Must be able to operate, maintain,
troubleshoot, and repair all aspects of clean agent fire suppression and VESDA systems.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable of clean agent suppression and VESDA systems.
- Proficient with applicable NFPA codes. Able to identify code and non-conformance issues.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- NICET Certification a plus.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime, as needed, and take emergency after-hours
on-call service calls.
- Possess professional business communications skills, both written and oral.
- Self-learner, self-motivated, dedicated, organized, and a team player.
- Must have good communication and organization skills, be able to develop and maintain a high
level of customer satisfaction, and accomplish tasks in a timely and safe manner.
