JBarista – Paradise Coffee Roasters (Hilo, HI)
Role: Barista
Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Compensation: $17/hour + tips
Paradise Coffee Roasters is an origin‑owned, specialty coffee company based in Hilo, Hawaii, roasting distinctive coffees from Hawaii and around the world and serving them fresh to our guests. We’re looking for a barista with previous experience who is genuinely passionate about specialty coffee and wants to be part of a quality‑focused, hospitality‑driven team.
What you’ll do
- Prepare Pour-over and espresso to a high standard, following our brewing recipes and dialing‑in guidance.
- Provide warm, attentive service to guests, answering questions and talking about the coffees we serve.
- Handle POS transactions, maintain a clean and organized bar and café space, and help with opening/closing tasks.
- Work closely with the roastery team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a great experience for every guest.
What we’re looking for
- Previous barista experience in a café or specialty coffee environment.
- Strong interest in specialty coffee: you’re curious about origins, processing, and flavor and enjoy sharing that with others.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a consistent Monday–Tuesday daytime schedule.
- Friendly, professional communication and a calm, organized presence behind the bar.
