American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency on GE MRI equipment.

Acute care hospital MRI department in the Radiology unit
-
Department is equipped with 1 GE 1.5T MRI scanner
-
Approximately 30 scans performed per 24-hour period
-
Common studies include typical MRI Tech responsibilities including IV starts
-
Charting via Epic; PACS system is Fuji Synapse
-
In-house and remote radiologist coverage available
-
10-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, scheduled every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and every other Thursday

On-call requirement of typically one night per week and one weekend per month

Weekend and holiday coverage required

No floating to other areas required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

Active BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certifications not accepted

Active ARRT (MR) certification required; pending certifications not accepted

Previous hands-on experience with GE MRI equipment required

Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (CO requirement); a valid driver's license is used to verify permanent address

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Perform standard MRI imaging studies including IV placement as needed
-
Radiation badge must be provided prior to assignment start

Scrub color requirement: black pants and royal blue top; scrubs are not provided

Orientation is approximately 12 hours; candidates must be on-site in state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered

Travelers assigned to this location are expected to float within the zone they are hired into and are responsible for securing housing that allows them to meet this requirement
