At Empowering Integrated Care Solutions (EICS), we take an innovative, person-centered approach to serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. We are seeking compassionate, skilled Group Therapists who are excited by progressive models of care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to provide primarily group-based mental health services for individuals with IDD.
This role combines group-based clinical work with individual services and opportunities to contribute to program development and innovative service delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a vital member of our integrated clinical team, you will facilitate therapeutic groups for adults with IDD and mental health diagnoses in office-based and community settings, while also providing individual psychotherapy to a limited number of clients. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, you will support mental health wellness, social skill development, independence, and resiliency.
CORE CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide therapeutic and psychoeducational group services focused on mental health wellness, social skills, emotional regulation, independence, and resiliency
- Facilitate groups at the EICS office and selected off-site locations, including group homes, vocational settings, and other community venues
- Adapt group content and facilitation to align with participants’ learning and communication differences
- Provide individual psychotherapy to a small caseload of adults with IDD and mental health diagnoses
- Utilize strengths-based, trauma-informed, and resiliency-focused interventions in both group and individual settings
- Provide crisis intervention and support safety planning as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement person-centered Individual Treatment Plans
- Coordinate care with Behavioral Health Nursing and Care Coordination staff to support integrated treatment
- Participate in required agency meetings and role-relevant trainings
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory standards
- Meet established productivity expectations (average of 5.5 clinical hours per day, including direct and indirect client contact)
- Engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities
- Maintain ethical standards of practice and confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines
INNOVATION, RESEARCH & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
EICS offers a unique opportunity for clinicians interested in shaping innovative mental health services for individuals with IDD, beyond traditional outpatient therapy.
Therapists will participate in applied program development through partnerships with leading academic institutions, including the University of Missouri–Kansas City LifeCourse Nexus Team, part of a federally designated University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (IUCEDD), as well as Case Western Reserve University and the Begun Center for Violence Prevention.
This work includes:
- Adaptation and implementation of Charting the LifeCourse® tools for mental health service delivery
- Opportunities for training and participation in pilot programs demonstrating novel, LifeCourse-informed approaches for adults with IDD
- Collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and the Begun Center for Violence Prevention, as part of EICS initiatives addressing challenging behavior and co-occurring mental health diagnoses
- Applied, collaborative participation integrated into day-to-day clinical service delivery
This position reports to the Clinical Supervisor.

WORK SCHEDULE
8:30 AM to 5:00 PM- Monday through Friday
OPTIONAL: 4-Day workweek (10-hour days)
No weekend requirement
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Full-Time LSW/LPC: Starting at $62,000 annually
LISW/LPCC: Salary negotiable based on experience
Bonus Eligibility: Up to $4,000 annually for ALL clinical staff, regardless of license level, for clinicians working 20 or more hours per week (paid quarterly)

RETENTION BONUS (Per Agency Policy)
- $1,000 after successful completion of 6 months of employment
- $1,200 after successful completion of 12 months of employment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Strong interest or experience in facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups for adults with IDD
Comfort providing services in office-based and community settings
Ability to engage groups with varying cognitive, communication, and support needs
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Interest in wellness-focused, skills-based, and resiliency-oriented programming
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required for LSW candidates; Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required for other licensure levels
Active and unencumbered Ohio license: LISW, LPCC, LSW, or LPC (or license-eligible within one year)
Minimum of one year of experience providing services to individuals with IDD and mental health diagnoses
Experience facilitating group therapy strongly preferred
Acceptable background check, driving record, and valid driver’s license
