IBM i Engagement Manager
The Engagement Manager position is a senior level role for the line of business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Client Delivery including oversight of US and Off-shore teams

Ensuring work provided aligns with contract Statement of Work and Client Expectations in terms of deliverables, quality, and hours.

Ensuring Proper documentation is completed as required such as weekly status report, change management reports, scope changes, etc.

Supporting Business Development by participating in Prospect Calls, engaging existing clients to discuss new opportunities, and leveraging networks and relationships to identify potential new clients.

Participate on the Line of Business Leadership Team to help develop long-term strategies and processes for the company.

Provide Technical delivery including team supervision, requirements gathering and execution for assigned clients. This may also involve programming and project management where defined.
ENGAGEMENT MANAGEMENT
- Liaise between clients and external teams to maximize effective communication and center client perspectives.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technology, marketing, finance, and others to ensure successful project delivery.

Ensure compliance with internal processes, procedures, and quality standards.

Provide regular project updates to customers and internal stakeholders, including status reports, risk assessments, and progress reports according to defined deliverables.

Manage and escalate project risks and issues to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring timely resolution.

Identify new business opportunities and work with the sales team to generate new business.

Provide administrative oversite to ensure all project hours are recorded on a timely basis in accordance with internal and client Statement of Work (SOW) guidelines.
TECHNICAL
- Provide senior level programming as required.

Provide process, data, and object modeling in a variety of application and database environments.

Provide database design, development, and enhancement, and management and coordination of changes to existing applications.

Provide technical architecture analysis, design, development, and enhancement.

Maintain senior level expertise and currency in industry leading information management technologies.

Responsible for AS400/IBM i platform development, maintenance, and support, ensuring stable operations and efficient application performance.
PROJECTS
- Serve as Project Lead or Project Manager according to client requirements via management of end-to-end system life cycle development of major projects.

Oversee minor projects being led by intermediate level staff under your supervision.

Develop engagement proposals for projects, perform risk analysis, and manage change control.

Provide business analysis, business area assessment, user needs analysis and business systems design for major projects.

Should be highly proficient in Agile Methodologies.
BUSINESS
- Present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.

Assist with the development of client information management standards and evaluation of technology trends.

Contribute to business area assessment, user needs analysis and business systems design.

Assist with comprehensive cost/benefit analysis and preparation of business cases for new projects.
SUPERVISORY
- Supervise and mentor all intermediate and junior level Integrative System’s staff assigned as members of your project team

Supervise during project life cycle any intermediate or junior level client staff, or any sub-contracted personnel assigned to your project team.

Supervise and mentor all intermediate and junior level Vivid Solutions staff working on other projects under your area of responsibility.
