Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Hospice Administrator/RN in the state of Georgia to lead and oversee the daily operations of our hospice care program. This vital role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in healthcare management, patient care, and hospice services. The Hospice Administrator will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and managing the administrative functions of the organization. Duties
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of comprehensive hospice care aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee clinical operations, including patient care coordination, case management, and utilization management to optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable operations while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and state licensing requirements.
- Oversee electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical records management, and documentation accuracy across all departments.
- Develop policies and procedures that promote best practices in hospice care, emergency response protocols, and patient safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with community partners, referral sources, and healthcare providers to expand access to hospice services.
- Monitor quality metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare management within hospice or palliative care settings; critical care experience is highly valued.
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams in Hospice, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or senior care environments.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records systems (EMR/EHR), and healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Background in acute care settings such as ICU, Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center, or emergency medicine is preferred.
- Experience with case management, utilization management, budgeting, and financial oversight within healthcare organizations.
- Familiarity with hospice operations nursing home operations, home care services, hospital medicine.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care across diverse populations.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
