Position Summary
As a Customer Experience Associate, you'll be the face of R&B Dog Bakery. You'll create a welcoming environment for every customer, assist pet parents in selecting products, process transactions, maintain an organized and clean store, and help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for both pets and their humans.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer and their furry family members with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and recommending products based on pets' needs.
- Assist customers with custom cake orders and special celebrations.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process transactions.
- Package treats, stock shelves, and rotate inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment.
- Assist with merchandising and creating attractive product displays.
- Support in-store events, promotions, and community activities.
- Restock the Chew Bar and ensure products are properly labeled.
- Assist with preparing online orders for pickup.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and store policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals.
- Represent the R&B Dog Bakery brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Passion for dogs and exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in pet retail, food service, or specialty retail.
- Knowledge of dog breeds, nutrition, or pet products is a plus.
- Experience with social media or creating customer content is a bonus.
