Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, focusing on tasks such as order picking, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.
- Perform order picking duties using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, handling materials up to specified weight limits.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and order statuses.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and equipment operation skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations.
- Experience with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.
- Experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficient in using RF scanners for order picking and inventory management.
