Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper manual handling techniques and food preparation equipment operation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, adhering to safety standards in production.
- Assist with basic meal preparation tasks such as slicing ingredients using proper knife skills and supporting food production activities under supervision.
- Manage heavy lifting of dish racks, boxes of supplies, and other kitchen items safely to prevent injury.
- Support the kitchen team with food handling duties during busy service times, ensuring compliance with food safety management protocols.
- Follow all safety standards in production and food safety guidelines to uphold hygiene and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth serving operations and timely cleanup during service hours.
Qualifications
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with slicing techniques are advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
