```Duties```
- Perform dental hygiene procedures (periodontal maintenance) including teeth cleaning, polishing and scaling and root planing
- Take dental x-rays as indicated
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
