The City of Missouri City, proudly known as the "Show Me City,"is seeking a strategic and collaborative human resources leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development.
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development, the Assistant Director assists in planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the core functions of human resources, including organizational development, employee engagement, policy administration, compliance, human resource systems, employee relations, workforce development, and special projects.
This position provides leadership and operational oversight for assigned human resources programs, initiatives, and services and supports the implementation of strategic human resourcesobjectivesthat align with the City's vision, mission, strategic plan, organizational values, and City Council priorities.
The Assistant Director serves as Acting Director in the absence of the Director or as assigned, ensuring continuity of leadership and operations within the department.

The Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may consider an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is designated as an essential employee and is required to work before, during, and after emergencies or disasters, whether natural or man-made. The incumbent is subject to emergency operations recall and may be assigned additional duties necessary to maintain the continuity of City services.
