Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable person to join our team. This will be a "mixed position" to start. The ideal candidate will be responsible for some counter sales / warehouse in addition to some transporting goods and materials , while ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. Some electrical background would be beneficial in this position. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to various locations.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, reporting any discrepancies or issues encountered on the route.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation (fluid levels and lights work ).
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed.
- Some cleaning will be required, learning other parts of operation.
- Ability to deliver to schools and other sensitive areas- pass background check.
- Ability to pass basic DOT physical.
- Ability to do computer work, required for most tasks.
- We work year round, we are open even when weather is bad.
- Be ON TIME and ready to work on a daily basis.
Skills
- Experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and moving logistics is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Proficient in the use of pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Valid Chauffeur driving license, or able to get 1 easily.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in commercial driving and warehouse environments.
- May need to lift heavy items at times, whether wire, conduit or other electrical material.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.01 per hour
