Vector's partner located in Cleveland, OH offers a complete package of stainless steel pipe, tubing, fittings, outlets, thread tape, flanges and valves as well as the nation’s largest, most comprehensive inventory of both leaded & lead-free cast brass fittings, flanges and pipe. They are in search of a Grinder.
2nd Shift
Responsibilities:
- Clean, mount, and set chasers in proper holders
- Grind or regrind cutting blades
- Maintain inventory (chasers, blades, grinding wheels, holders, etc.)
- Maintain and do minor repairs on grinding equipment (grinders, attachments, chaser holders, etc.)
- Check angles on chasers with a protractor and / or comparator
- Prioritize and organize work load
- Prioritize grinding based on tooling inventory
- Other responsibilities can be assigned as needed to ensure the success of the Manufacturing Dept. and company as a whole
- Anything else that is needed to keep the entire manufacturing operation performing efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to do basic high school level math.
- Basic computer skills including general PC operation in Windows and data entry
- Able to read scale / rulers, micrometers, and calipers
- Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
- Ability to work individually and with others to continuously improve our company.
- Standing, bending for entire shift. Capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequently, pushing and pulling bulky material and carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
