Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our growing mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychotherapy and clinical support to professionals, remotely or at our modern office in Midtown Manhattan. The Licensed Therapist will develop personalized treatment plans, conduct assessments, and deliver individual therapy sessions. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Provide individual theraoy utilizing modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based practices.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support patients experiencing acute mental health issues or behavioral crises.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs, medical records documentation, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology standards.
- Facilitate specialized counseling services including PTSD care, and grief counseling.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care coordination, case management, and behavioral health interventions within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) while adhering to HIPAA regulations; utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions when applicable.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to ongoing program development.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology collaboration, and crisis management.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes.
- Proficiency in conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, patient assessment tools, and case management strategies.
- Skilled in working with high functioning adults.
- Ability to deliver services via telehealth platforms with familiarity in telehealth best practices; experience in outpatient or clinic environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging patients across diverse backgrounds; adept at crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance while managing sensitive medical records; strong organizational skills for data collection and research activities.
