Area Lead – Swimming Pool Operations
Panama City Beach, Florida
Hetland Brothers Pool Services is seeking an experienced pool professional to lead our Panama City Beach and eastern 30A service area.
This position is ideal for someone who already understands how pools work and enjoys diagnosing problems, training technicians, and ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
Requirements
Required Experience
- Must live in Panama City Beach or Santa Rosa Beach
- Minimum 2 years of professional pool service experience
- Strong understanding of pool chemistry
- Experience troubleshooting pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, valves, and plumbing
- Ability to diagnose and solve pool equipment issues in the field
- Experience identifying causes of algae, cloudy water, circulation issues, and sanitation problems
- Must live in or near Panama City Beach
- Clean driving record
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience leading or training technicians
- Experience with Jandy, Pentair, and Hayward equipment
- Experience working with short-term rental properties
- CPO certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of pool technicians in the PCB area
- Conduct quality control inspections
- Train and mentor technicians
- Diagnose service and equipment issues
- Assist with client communication when technical expertise is required
- Coordinate repairs and follow-up work
- Help improve company systems and service standards
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who can walk up to a pool and quickly answer questions like:
- Why is chlorine disappearing?
- Why is the pool cloudy?
- Why is the salt cell not producing?
- Why is the pressure high?
- Why is the spa draining?
- Why is algae returning?
You don't need to know everything, but you should already have the experience necessary to troubleshoot most pool issues without relying on Google or calling someone else for answers.
