Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, and nail extensions with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement each client’s style
- Conduct esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or nail care routines to promote healthy nails
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide advice on nail care, and upsell retail products or additional services
- Stay informed about current trends in nail art, gel techniques, and new products to enhance service offerings
- Assist with retail sales by promoting nail care products, skincare items, or hair extensions that meet client needs
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in a similar beauty industry role with a strong portfolio of manicures, pedicures, gel nails, and acrylic applications
- Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, and advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions or body waxing is a plus
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and client communication skills
- Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing required; additional training in laser treatments or hair styling is advantageous
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their aesthetic goals
- Experience in retail sales or upselling techniques to enhance client experience and salon revenue
