Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, cakes, and desserts with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and pastries using advanced cake decorating techniques to meet presentation standards
- Manage food production processes ensuring consistency with recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools
- Package finished products securely for delivery or display while maintaining freshness and presentation
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of baked goods and desserts
- Skilled in cake decorating, food preparation, and pastry preparation techniques
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures within the food industry
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining creativity in presentation
- Strong knife skills with the ability to handle high-volume production efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or guests during catering or restaurant services
- Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and inventory management
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean workspace and adhere to health regulations
