Electrician / Handyman Technician
Job Summary (READ CAREFULLY)
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician / Handyman Technician to join our growing construction and maintenance team. This position combines electrical work with general handyman, maintenance, and installation tasks at commercial and industrial facilities.
In addition to electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations, candidates will be expected to perform basic handyman duties such as hanging TVs, signs, whiteboards, and wall-mounted fixtures, assembling and repairing carts and equipment, painting, performing minor plumbing repairs, completing general maintenance tasks, and assisting with facility improvement projects.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable using hand and power tools, and willing to travel to various job sites throughout the state. This position offers a variety of work environments and responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both electrical and hands-on maintenance work.

Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical, construction, maintenance, handyman services, or related trades
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout the state as needed
- Travel to job sites is required and may involve 2–3 hours of driving depending on project location
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have basic hand tools required to perform daily job duties
- Must have and wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required for construction and industrial job sites, including:
- Safety glasses
- Hard hat
- High-visibility vest or shirt
- Work gloves
- Steel-toe or safety-toe work boots
- Hearing protection when required
- Any additional site-specific safety equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift, carry materials, climb ladders, and work in indoor and outdoor environments
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Light plumbing and electrical tasks
- Hang TVs, signs, whiteboards, shelves, and wall-mounted fixtures
- Assemble, repair, and modify carts, equipment, fixtures, and displays
- Painting (interior and exterior)
- Parking lot line striping
- General labor and industrial installations
- Assemble and install equipment, fixtures, and materials as needed
- Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts (training provided if needed)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Test electrical systems using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Communicate effectively with site managers and clients
- Travel to and from job sites in a timely and professional manner
Electrical Responsibilities
- Perform low-voltage and high-voltage electrical work in accordance with applicable safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify effective solutions
- Install electrical components, conduit, devices, lighting, and equipment
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure proper operation and safety
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, inspections, and materials used
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial or industrial maintenance environments
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
- Knowledge of NEC standards and safety practices
- Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts
- Experience with facility maintenance and repair work
- Frame carpentry, construction, or related trade experience is a plus
