Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Part-Time Overnight Qualified Medication Aide Program (QMAP)! Duties
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and facility protocols, including medication administration and tube feeding.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, health status, and overall condition throughout the overnight shift.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene to promote independence and dignity.
- Document all care provided using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with precision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental health, including signs of dementia or Alzheimer's disease, to the nursing team promptly.
- Support residents experiencing memory care needs or hospice situations with patience and empathy.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures, catheter care protocols, and safety standards for medical equipment.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices relevant to senior care and dementia management.
- Experience with medical documentation systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related needs is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for residents’ needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards related to medical records is essential.
- Previous caregiving roles involving hospice care or acute care settings will strengthen your application.
