This position is for someone local to Wilmington, NC or surrounding areas.
The majority of the day to day work is installing shelves for a builder that we work with. We prefer someone that has experience in construction, but are open to less experience for the right person.
Duties & Experience:
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans & blueprints to ensure accurate shelving installation aligned with project specifications.
- Cut & mount shelving. Measure dimensions precisely using a tape measure and other tools to guarantee proper fit and alignment of shelving units.
- Proficiency with hand & power tools.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Can stand for extended periods. (These are 8 hour shifts and some of the work is done outside in the hot summers of Wilmington, NC)
- Drive a work van **HAS TO HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD**
We are looking for someone who :
- Is punctual & keeps good attendance.
- Takes initiative.
- Has time management skills. A lot of this position is very independent, so we are looking for someone that has the discipline to get the job done in a timely manner.
- Collaborates well with others.
- Has effective communication skills. We will need information on what was completed daily, what materials need to be ordered & any issues on the jobsites.
- Has strong organizational skills. There are several new homes in several separate neighborhoods that will be ready for shelving at the same time. The shelving installer needs to track what houses are completed and what is still left to be done.
